Late Vasantrao Kale Swabhiman Shikshan Yojana (Earn & Learn Scheme)
The concept of Earn and Learn was initiated by Karmavir Bhaurao Patil in Maharashtra. The main objective of this scheme is to develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic excellence and a commitment to an egalitarian society. The scheme is basically undertaken for the benefit of students coming from the rural areas, which are economically backward but intelligent and meritorious, and cannot afford higher education. It inculcates the idea that no work is small, inferior or bad and develops a work culture with the right aptitude. This will make higher education accessible and available to the poor, moratorium and the marginalized.
Earn and Learn Scheme is helpful for the poor students so the scheme was accepted and run by some of the universities in the state. In Marathwada University this scheme was implied by then MLA Vasantrao Kale in the year. Many students studying in the university got the benefit of this scheme. Those students began to work in various areas. Among them ten of the students are working in our college as professors. They are aware of the problems faced by the students. They discussed with the other staff members and began this scheme in the college in 2001-2002.
By seeing the contribution of Vasantrao Kale the University named this scheme as 'Late Vasantrao Kale Swabhiman ShikshanYojana', after his death. The University also decided to sanction this scheme in some affiliated colleges and to grant some fund for that. The university preferably sanctioned to run this scheme in our college as the college has already began to run this scheme on its own financial resources. In the beginning this scheme has no fund by the university but now 50% fund is given by the university and 50% by the college.
Every year the University sanctions to run Earn and Learn Scheme with some fixed number of students. For that a professor is appointed as Incharge Professor and the scheme is run under his authority. The students enrolled under this scheme are given the works that increase their skills in areas of their study. For example office work includes working at library or any other department of the college; field work includes working in the garden, looking after newly planted trees, cleaning of playground and college campus, etc. Poor students are habituated with hard work by giving them various activities and they are aided with financial help. Introduction :-
Open Universities were established from 1960 at National and International level. The government of Maharashtra Passed an act on 01/07/1989 and established open university by the name of sculptor of Maharashtra –Yashwantrao Chavhan Maharashtra Open University. This is fifth open university in India.Whole Maharashtra comes under the area of open university. The university is obliged to bring ‘Ganga of Knowledge’to every social class in the state. By accepting this obligation the university has tried to reach every part of the society by different ways. The efforts were honored. When the university received Award of Excellence by the intimation organization ‘Common wealth of ‘Learning’ on 1st August 2002.This is the first open university in India which received the honor given for university.
Our college has been running study centre of YCMOU since May,1999 to bring the people, who are far away from educational atmosphere, in the stream of education. Many students studying in this centre with the aim that getting education is possible, while having some profession or business. The study centre given chance to any person who has completed eighteen years of age and can write and read. Examinations are held twice a year, so that students can get opportunity to attend the exam at suitable time. B. A. is three years course. We are running a successful study centre under the guidance of our institution Hon., Bhimraoji Dhonde and the superintendent of the study centre Principal Dr. H. G. Vidhate. Prof. Dr. N. D. Chaudhari and Prof.V. D. Pokale worked as a coordinator and assistant coordinator of the study centre during 1999 to 2007. Both tried their best for running this centre. During 2007 to 2012 Prof. P. N. Aute and Prof. V. D. Pokale worked as coordinator and assistant coordinator respectively. Since 1999 the graph of students admission has been increasing. The works of study centre were honored by the university in 2010 -11 by giving the first prize of Rs. 40000/- (Rs. Forty thousand) for the study centre.

1) Preparatory :-
a) Admissions are open for two times in a year- June- July and January.
b) The students who have passed the preparatory exam are eligible for the admissions for B. A. and B. Com. Ist year in the open university.

2) B. A. /B.Com :-
a) Duration for admission : July to August.
b) Eligibility:
i)The students who have passed H.S. C. exam are eligible for B. A./ B. Com Ist Year.
ii) The students who have passed D. Ed. are eligible for B. A. IInd Year.

3) M. A. / M. Com./ M.Sc.:-
a) Duration for admission: January to February.
b) Eligibility: The students who have completed their graduation from any authorized university are eligible for post graduation.
c) The lecturers in the senior colleges who have post graduation in subject communication are exempted from two refresher courses.
d) The students who have completed post graduation successfully give five marks for B.Ed. admission.
With the moto ‘Ganga of Knowledge in Every House’,the study centre is working hard to bring the people unaware of education and its benefits to stream of education.

गरीब व होतकरू विद्यार्थ्यांना विद्यार्थी सहाय्य निधी तर्फे पुस्तके अथवा आर्थिक स्वरुपात मदत दिली जाते . या निधीतून मदत मिळण्यासाठी प्रवेश घेते वेळी प्राचार्याच्या नावे महाविद्यालयाकडे अर्ज करावा लागतो . प्राचार्य ,दोन प्राध्यापक व विध्यार्थी प्रतिनिधी असलेली समिती अशा अर्जाची छाननी करून विद्यार्थ्याला मदत करते .
जिमखाना विभागातर्फे निकोम आरोग्य संवर्धनासाठी मैदानी खेळाचे आयोजन केले जाते. महाविद्यालयाच्य क्रीडांगनावर बास्केटबॉल ,व्हालीबोल , कबड्डी व खो -खो या शिवाय बॅडमिन्टन, टेबल टेनिस, कॅरम, बुद्धीबळ या सारख्या देशी विदेशी खेळाची व्यवस्था आहे . त्याचप्रमाणे विध्यार्थांच्या कला गुणांना व कलात्मकतेला वाव मिळण्यासाठी विविध करमणुकीचे व मनोरंजनाचे कार्यक्रम आयोजित केले जातात .
