Anandrao Dhonde Alias Babaji Arts, commerce and Science College is run by Anand Caritable Sanstha Ashti, Dist. Beed. The Ashti taluka of Beed district was one of the educationally and economically backward taluka of Maharashtra. The demand of the education and particularly higher education was a long waiting of community. Founder of institute Hon’ble Bhimraoji Dhonde a politician visualized this draw back. Hon’ble president awakened few personalities from the area and founded Anand Charitable Sanstha at Ashti. The college was established by institute in 1990 with prime object to cater the needs of economically backward community. The objectives of the college aim at producing graduates fit for various purposes: social, cultural, political, economical, etc.

The vision statement of the college is ‘Not Things but Men Can Change the World’. Since its inception the college has immensely grown as a educational institution, and today it is offering Graduate and post graduates courses. The college stands on 10 acres of land with well furnished building, a large specious ground, gym with various equipments, well equipped computerized library with large number of text books, reference books, magazines, journals, well equipped laboratories, Automatic Weather station, Botanical garden with medicinal plants, Canteen, specious parking, YCMOU study center, certificate courses of lifelong education and extension, competitive exam center, NSS , Earn and learn scheme and ladies hostel.

The college lays Emphasis on the Development in Academics, Co- curricular, extra-curricular activities and Development of infrastructure facilities.

The Ashti taluka of Beed district was one of the educationally and economically backward taluka of Maharashtra. The demand higher education was a long waiting need of community. The facility of the higher education was out of their reach like Ahmednagar, Beed, Aurangabad, Pune, Latur and other district places. The common and poor students could not get it. Founder of institute Hon’ble Bhimraoji Dhonde a great leader visualized this draw back. Maximum number of community is consisted of peasants. The area is drought prone and sugar cane cutting is the basic profession of local community. Hon’ble president awakened few personalities from the area and founded Shetkari Shikhsan Prasarak Mandal at Ashti district Beed registered under the Mumbai public trust Act 1860 (Act XXI of 1861) in 1982 through registration number MAH 3/8 Feb. 6, 1982.

The institute was established with prime object to cater the needs of economically backward community. Initially the institution started with one secondary school viz., Mahesh Vidyalaya at Rui Nalkol. With full support of managing body, now the institution runs five primary schools, 42 high schools, 18 Junior colleges, 6 senior colleges, B. Ed. College, B. P. Ed college, Agricultural diploma & degree college , D. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy, Nursing college, Polytechnic college and Dairy and Animal Husbandry school, Food technology etc. in various parts of Ashti and Patoda taluka.

Considering the long waited need and demand of higher education. S. S. P. Mandal introduced Arts, Commerce and Science college at Kada by the permission of Maharashtra Govt. letter No. NGC/1990 (2546) Vishi -2 Education and Emplyoment Dept., Mantralaya – Mumbai 32 dated July 23, 1990. This college was started in a small shed. Management of institute purchased required land and constructed spacious building step by step. Now this college stands on 10 acres of land with well-furnished building, well equipped laboratories, a large specious ground, gym with various equipments, well equipped computerized library with large number of text books, reference books, magazines, journals with N-list programme, Automatic Weather station, Botanical garden with medicinal plants, Canteen, specious parking, competitive exam center, NSS, Earn and learn scheme and ladies hostel.

In 1994 the name of the college extended as “Anandrao Dhonde Alias Babaji (Arts, Commerce and Science) Mahavidyalaya, Kada. Our parent institute, S. S. P. Mandal ran this college up to Dec. 2000 and hand over to. Anand Charitable Sanstha on Jan. 1st, 2001 by procedure. This college is registered under section 2 (F) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act 1956. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University has given permanent affiliation to the college in Aug. 2005 This college possibly offers widest possible options in Arts, Commerce and Science. Today the college is offering Graduate, post graduates courses, two research centers B. Voc. Courses, skill based certificate courses and YCMOU study center. This has become possible due to the availability of the required infrastructural facilities, well qualified staff and equally important due to the preference of the aspiring students for these courses. Teaching learning and evaluation are implemented sincerely throughout the year. The college pays attention to the students to acquire multi skills in various fields. It motivates the students to be whole personality, sensitive understanding and necessary commitment for the society.

The college proved to be a notable center of education having with more than 94 % staff Ph. D. holder and 23 faculty members are recognized as research guides. College has created its own status and unique place in the university. College landmarks its representation in Management Council, Members of Board of Studies and chairman of various university committees. There is great contribution of college in the field of Sports, Cultural and NSS activities. No institution will progress without proper understanding and communication among its management. Fortunately co-operative management, able teaching staff and sincere non teaching team harmoniously blending here. The college has been accredited twice by NAAC. In 2004 College accredited with C++ grade for 1st cycle and Re- accredited with ‘A’ grade having 3.11 CGPA in 2017 for 2nd cycle. The college is also certified with ISO 9001: 2015.
